

Mary Kathleen Harless, 98, of Madison MS passed away on October 22, 2015. Kathleen was born in Anniston, Alabama on July 22, 1917 to Stella and Bethel Brock. She grew up in Tarrant City, Alabama and Graceville, Florida, and graduated from Graceville High School. She attended Florida State University.
Kathleen married Henry Clyde Harless, who lovingly called her Trina, and together they had one son, Jim Harless. She served with her pastor/missionary husband for over 60 years, primarily in Florida. She was known all over the state for her work in training children's teachers for churches, and for her sweet touch on the piano at the churches where they served. She was extraordinarily talented with her hands and many people today still enjoy the ceramic pieces, afghans, cross-stitch, and needle crafts with which she gifted them. Kathleen was a member of First Baptist Church of Ocala for 50 Years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kay; 4 grandchildren, Leigh Anne Carr, Mark Harless, Matt Harless and Amy House; and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband, Rev. H. Clyde Harless, predeceased her.
Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Clinton, MS on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside services and burial will be held in Ocala, Florida at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am.
