Mary Pauline Story, 81 of Jackson, MS went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ on January 5, 2021. She was born on April 15, 1939 to the late Media Bynum and James Saxon and was the oldest of five siblings. She was married to the late Ernest Gerald (Sonny) Story. She loved spending time with her sisters Carolyn Benton and Judy McQueen, and always enjoyed cutting up with her brother in-law Fred Benton whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jimmie Klingler and her husband Henry; brother, James Saxon; sons, Buster Story and Harold Story; and grandson, Jimmy Logan.

Polly loved her family. It was very important to her and so were her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She took care of her mom, Media, and they were very close. She was kind and never met a stranger. Once you met her you never forgot her. She loved and was loved by all.

Polly is survived by her daughters, Wanda Johnson (Tommy), Gail Logan, and Angie Hammons (Keith); grandchildren, Thomas (Peewee) Johnson (Heather), Duane Johnson (Tiffany), Steve Logan (Janie), Adam Logan (Kim), Sheri Walters, Tosha Story, and Josh Story; great grandkids, Alyssa Sanders, Michael Logan, Logan Johnson, Chase Logan, Parker Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Ryan Logan, Bryce Buchanan, Mackenzie Johnson, Dylan Story, Caden Logan, Dawson Smith, Tuff Sistrunk, Canon Logan, and several great great grandkids.

There will be a Memorial Service at Lakewood Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00pm. The family request that all who attend to please wear a mask due to COVID 19.
