

Maurice Victor Brock, 95, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Brandon Court Nursing Center in Brandon. He was a native of Crystal Springs, but lived most of his adult life in Jackson. Most recently he was a resident of Flowood.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Annette Baker Brock; two sisters, Myrtle Brock Fairchild and Alma Rae Brock Embry. He is survived by two nieces, Rebecca Embry Stepan of Vicksburg and Barbara Embry Easley of Jackson; and eight grandnieces and nephews.
Maurice spent thirty-eight years in the U.S. Navy, active and reserve, having served in WWII and Korea, and had been in the Reserves during Vietnam. He also was employed at the General Electric plant for over three decades. Maurice was also a Mason.
Maurice and Annette were married three days after Pearl Harbor in 1941, and had been married for 68 years at Annette’s death in 2009. They were loyal members of Leavell Woods United Methodist church for over six decades.
Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 3-5 pm and Monday, March 14, 2016 from 10-11 am. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11 am with burial immediately following at Lakewood Memorial Park.
