Mildred M Lewis, 93, passed away on September 8, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lewis was born on December 28, 1924 in Oak Ridge, MS. She worked as a secretary for Bectel Corporation and Vicksburg County Schools. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Lewis enjoyed working as a volunteer at the VA Hospital, gardening, reading, sewing and cooking. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Clinton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lewis; parents, Leta Mae Poindexter and W H Hamilton; daughter, Cecilia Fawn Lewis; and 5 siblings.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her children, Charles A Lewis, Pat Moon, and Linda Irvin; brother, Bill Hamilton; 4 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild.
