

Mildred Henry Kea Winstead, age 93, died on March 29, 2012, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She can now take her heavenly eternal flight to sweet Beulah Land where she will see Jesus Christ Lord face to face. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Wright and Ferguson on High Street on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 1:30p.m. and the viewing will be held at12:00 Noon prior to her Celebration.
Mildred was born in Detroit, MI, on December 11, 1918. She lived in Brandon, MS, for the last 15 years, and prior to Brandon she lived in Hot Springs Village, AR, Raymond, Sallis, Zama, and Laurel Hill, MS. Mildred was a member of First Baptist Church-Jackson for many years. Singing in the Reflection Choir and being a member of her Sunday school class brought her wonderful memories. Mildred taught school for 36 years mostly in Sallis, Hinds County Schools (Van Winkle) and Jackson Public Schools. She loved talking about “her students”, remembering most of their names and antics about many.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Thomas Henry and Averrilla Barnett Henry of Laurel Hill, MS. Also preceding her was first husband Barney M. Kea and second husband Henry Winstead, brother Barnett Henry (Mary Emma), sisters Bobbie Grace Henry and Edna Earl (Stephen). Also Gary Charles Kea, son, preceded her in death.
Her surviving children are Richard B.Kea, of Kentwood, LA, Rosemary Kea Lopez (Rodney) of Brandon, MS, and Dianne Kea Haynes (Craig) of Woodville, TX. Mildred better known as Mil to her 9 grandchildren are Lerin Kea Duclos (Brandon),from Tampa, FL, Jessica Hunold ( Ryan), from Pensacola, FL, Andrew Foster Kea, from Brookhaven, MS, Shannon Jones Little (Eddie) from Brandon, MS, Jeremy D. Jones, from Carriere,MS, Melody McNamee Bardwell (Darryl),from Deridder, LA, Ann McNamee Rudd (Jim),from Deridder, LA, Robyn McNamee Brinson (Darrell),from Limestone, TN, and Chris McNamee (Kristen),from, Welsh, LA. Mildred is survived by 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
