Jenell leaves behind a son Charles Jason Wooten, a daughter Julie A. Waples, son-in-law Christopher Waples, and granddaughter Danica Waples.
Nona Jenell Sadler was born in Bentonia, Mississippi on September 28, 1952. She was the youngest of three daughters of Frank Lee and Bonnie Ruth Sadler. She grew up in Yazoo City, Mississippi and moved to Jackson, Mississippi as a teenager. She became a nurse and worked at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She met Jesse Wooten, a city fireman in Jackson, and they were married on November 9, 1974. Jesse became an agriculture salesman and later a manager. Jesse’s career took the family to several parts of the Southeast and Jenell was able to stay home and take care of their family during the various moves. They eventually settled in Southwest Florida to retire 2 years ago. Jenell was a very caring and supportive mother and friend and she will be missed.
There will be a viewing held at Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services in Lehigh Acres, FL on Tuesday September 25, 2018 from 2:00pm-4:00pm. There will also be a graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Jackson, MS on Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10:00am.
