Visitation will be Friday, 1/3/2014 from 4:00 till 7:00pm at Wright & Ferguson on High Street. The funeral will be Saturday 1/4/2014 at 10:00 A.M., with visitation from 9:00 till 10:00. Mrs. Pierce was born May 26, 1933 in Philadelphia, MS. to Alston and Sarah Virginia Spivey. She was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson and worked for Ms. Sports Medicine. Mrs. Pierce was a well respected teacher and member of Griffith Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons; Chris Pierce, David Pierce, and daughter; Michelle King, & her brother; A.C. Spivey, Jr. seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to her church.
