Moon, as he was affectionately known, had a vibrant personality and was the life of the party. He served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1962 and was very proud of his military associations.
He worked as a dedicated mailman at the Post Office for 36 years before retiring at the age of 60. He also had a passion for working on cars and even helped build his son John’s first Jeep with him.
In his free time, Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his son John, granddaughter Shelby and late wife AnnaLee. He spent many weekends at the racetracks watching his son John race. He had a passion for coaching softball for his granddaughter Shelby. He never missed a game, and was always the loudest in the crowd. Not a day went by without a white t-shirt, blue jeans, a fresh cup of coffee and the morning newspaper. He loved listening to music, dancing, and always had a joke ready to make others smile.
Moon is survived by his son John Mullins (Laura), Granddaughters Shelby Mullins and Kaeli Henderson, great granddaughter Neely Henderson, as well as a host of other family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife AnnaLee Mullins, son Tommy Mullins, sisters Mattie, Shirley, Frances, Vonndale, Eunice, Louis, Johnnie Faye, and brother Lee Russell.
Moon will be remembered for his hard work, sense of humor, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
