

Peggy Jackson, 73, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Clinton, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 3, from 5-8 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home and Monday, April 4, at Wildwood Baptist Church from 12-1 pm with a funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Peggy was born on September 16, 1942 to the late Samual Joseph Downs and Zada Lorraine Baty Downs. She was a charter member of Wildwood Baptist Church and was a member of the the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter F. She started the Butter Churn in 1989 with her mother Lorraine and sister Theresa. The Butter Churn has been in three various locations in Clinton over the past 25 years. She loved all of her customers and they loved her. Her passion was garage sales and estate sales for the success of the Butter Churn for so many years. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George William Jackson, Jr.; brothers, Howard and Harold Downs; sister, Theresa Yvonne Moore. She is survived by daughters, Angie Jackson Gelston, Tammy Jackson Cargile and Yvone Jackson Odom; grandchildren, Meaghan Hudson, Joshua Gelston, Jeremy and Jessica Cargile, Brooke and Sydney Boteler, Madelyn and Parker Goff; one great grandchild, Kenley Alyce Hudson.
