Rankin "Jake" Rawlings Jr.

Rankin Revel Rawlings, Jr., always called by his nickname, Jake; died at home, Thursday, May 11, 2017. Jake was born on March 14, 1996 in Flowood, MS. He attended Ridgeland High School, Jackson Academy, and graduated from The Education Center School where he received the WINGS Award.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Revel and Elizabeth Rawlings and his brother, Swayze Rawlings. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. Richard K. Swayze of Ridgeland.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Meredith Rawlings of McComb, MS. He is survived by several aunts and uncles and cousins whom he dearly loved.

Jake was very loving and kind and displayed a tender heart toward those in need. He was a true friend and his friends loved him. A private service will be held on Monday, May 15 at Lakewood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials go to Grace Chapel Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 2602, Madison, MS 39130, to be gifted to the Church, The Education Center School, and Mississippi Neuropsychiatric Clinic for patients in need.
