Rebecca “Becky” Moak Weathersby passed away on May 17, 2017 due to illness. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 5-8pm and Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 12-1pm at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Becky graduated from Provine High School in 1964, attended MSCW and went to work for Mississippi Power & Light. After raising her children she began working for Andy Sumrall as a legal assistant and worked for him 28 years. She was a lifetime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Becky spent her life serving and taking care of others. She will be greatly missed by a multitude of friends and family.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Moak and Metta Toenes Moak. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” A. Weathersby; son, Brett Weathersby (Jana); daughter, Allison James (Brad); brother, Eddie Moak (Jane); sister, Nancy McGehee (Clyde); grandchildren, Morgan James, Bradlea James, Will Weathersby, Elle Weathersby and Wright Weathersby; nephews, Brian Moak and Scott Moak; niece, Robin McGehee and nephew, David McGehee.
