"Rick" was born on September 14, 1949 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was the youngest of two children of
Wesley Enos Baessler and Kathy Squires Baessler.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Baessler; brother, Ron Baessler (Carolyn) and three children, Brian Bullard (Samantha), Wes Baessler (Ashley) and Richard Baessler (Phoebe). He was a beloved Pappy to four grandchildren, Emily, Jackson, Henry, Hailey “and also life long friends; Phil and Pam Hegwood and daughters, Brooke and Ragan and Glen George and family”
Rick served during the Vietnam War and retired after 30 years of service at Bellsouth as a cable repair supervisor. He was an avid history enthusiast and loved collecting World War II memorabilia. He had a passion for horses and loved baseball. Above all he was a devoted husband and loving father. Everyone he met was better for knowing him.
