Robert M Guyse

Robert Moses Guyse, departed this life on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Billdora Senior Care in Tylertown, MS. Mr. Guyse was born in Forest, MS on August 31, 1915 to the late Billy Guyse and Carrie Johnson Guyse.

His education began at Scott County Training School in Forest, MS. He continued his education at Alcorn University, then transferred to the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Science . He then went on to enlist in the military, where he retired after 23 years of Service in the US Army. Upon retirement, he was a civil service employee at the Presidio in San Francisco. After his employment at the army he went on to work for US Steel Corp for his second retirement.

Mr. Guyse loved hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 13 siblings.

Mr. Guyse is survived by his wife, Geraldine James Guyse; children, Robin Guyse, Romy Guyse and Benjamin Williams; grandchildren, Shayne Williams and Travis Williams, Sister-in-Law, Joyce Preston and a host nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on February 20, 2015 at 12:30pm in Biloxi, Mississippi.
