

Robert Smith, 42, passed away Monday, August 19 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Robert was born January 11, 1971 in Jackson, Mississippi to Charles Quinton Smith and Sylvia Freeman Smith. He was a 1990 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Hinds Community College. After college he began his career at Precoat Metals in Byram where he has worked for 17 years.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who spent his time boating, fishing and hunting. Growing up in clinton, he played football from the elementary years through varsity football at Clinton High School. His senior year of football he was awarded the Arrow award. His love of football continued on as an adult through flag football, fantasy football and watching his sons play. Robert loved being around family and friends. He adored his children and his nieces. He was a loving husband, son and brother and a devoted father and uncle. Robert was always a giving person and to honor that spirit his organs were donated and have already saved lives.
Robert was a former member of Northside Baptist Church in Clinton.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Randle; son Hunter Smith; son John Robert Smith all of Flowood. Daughter Ashlynd Smith of Oxford. Mother, Sylvia Freeman Smith of Raymond. Father, Charles Quinton Smith of Louisville, Ms. Sister, Pam Smith Bodo (Chris) of Flowood. Nieces, Morgan Stringer, Dorothy Bodo and Sara Bodo. He is preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Smith Stringer, brother Chuck Smith and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 23 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street with visitation Thursday, August 22 from 5-8 at Wright and Ferguson.
