Robert Dennis Stoll

July 2, 1946August 29, 2020

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Bob Stoll. Bob was born in Mondovi, Wisconsin on July 2, 1946 and passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Cindy, his parents Robert F. and Donna Stoll and his brother Ellis. He is survived by his brothers John (Trish) and Jay, his children RJ Stoll (Mallory), Christi Berrong-Barber (Mike), Heather Parish (Tony) and Wendy Barnes as well as his grandchildren; Macy Blake, Chancellor, Tanner, Hannah, Allyson and Dalton.

Bob was a member of Raymond United Methodist Church.

Bob lived a life of service. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he received the National Defense Service Medal for his service to our country during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Raymond, MS and was a Master Mason in good standing having served as Senior Warden.

Bob was a long time resident of Raymond, MS where he served with the Hinds County Sheriff's Department until his retirement, then he continued his life of service as Director of Security for First Presbyterian Church and Day School of Downtown Jackson.

Bob and Cindy lived in Raymond where they raised their children. His happiest moments were spent outdoors with his family. Bob found joy in everything from cutting grass to grilling to simply sitting outside in the sun watching Cindy fish with the grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lakewood Memorial Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm and again on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 10:00am-11:00am with services to follow at 11:00am in the chapel at Lakewood.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cindy and Bob Stoll Memorial Scholarship at Hinds Community College Foundation at PO Box 1100, Raymond, MS 39154.

Bob and Cindy were very good friends of ours his son RJ would spend weekends at Our house so RJ and My son Cachton could get up early and go hunting but there were times RJ would forget some of his hunting gear. I would get up early and make the boys omelettes before there hunting run when all of a sudden there would be a knock at the door and it was either Bob or Cindy with what ever they thought he might need and more clean clothes.I would make Bob and I a cup of coffee and we would sit and talk Bob was also a outstanding neighbor to my In-laws The Farmers he would always volunteer his help or services And keep a watchful eye on there house if they went out of town him and I became close friends after a while and I would stop and visit with him in the late afternoon or evening I used to love hearing some of the stories and views we shared, Bob was also a very family oriented man who lived his life for his family and loved the happiness it brought him I always respected Bob and really liked his sense of humor Robert Stoll you will be missed you were a great man.
