Robert Holmes Thom, 90, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Fort Worth, TX. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson, MS. Interment to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Robert was born in Harmon, Louisiana on March 25, 1925 to the late Ralph Lorain Thom and Clara Eunice Holmes Thom. He honorably served in the USAF as a Flight Instructor, retiring as a LT. Colonel with second retirement from The State of Mississippi. He loved hunting, fishing and the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Lynn Fagan and Martha Nelle Richards; brother-in-laws, James L. Fagan and Bill Richards.
He is survived by his daughters, Laura Michelle Bowerman and husband Rick; Denise Recatune Phillips and husband, Steve; Marcie Recatune, son, Steve Exum and wife Jan. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
