Mrs. Booth was born on March 5, 1943 in Jackson, MS. She was the first female director of a YMCA and the first female fitness director in Mississippi. She owned and operated Time-Out Sports Center. She enjoyed life to the fullest and above all she loved and cherished her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James H. Booth; mother, Leona Mae Sanders Covington; brothers, Percy Covington and Norman Ray Covington.
Mrs. Booth is survived by her children, James “Jimmy” Henry Booth, Jr. (Lori); daughters, Tandy Booth Boyte (Bob) and Tara Booth Scott (David); brother, Bobby Covington; sisters, Lois Alexander, Betty Knott, and Marvis Morrison (Doug), and 9 grandchildren.
