Worth Police Academy at age 51. At the age of 92, she moved back to the Jackson area near her daughter Carol who had the blessing of being able to help care for her in the last years.
She leaves behind her daughters Gail H. Thomas of Jackson, MS, and Carol (Robby) Spencer of Terry, MS; grandchildren, Claire Thomas of Denton, TX, and Tyler Holifield of Florence, MS; and great grandchildren Adrienne and Kayla. Throughout her life she loved spending time outdoors, gardening and animals.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to MARL or any animal shelter in her memory and will be greatly appreciated.
Per her wishes, the immediate family will hold a private graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.
