Shirley Ann Murray passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2019 in Brookhaven, MS. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 26, 2019 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.
She was born on October 21,1945 to the late James W. Guy and Lula Lee Langley Guy. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1964 and was employed from Southern Farm Bureau from 1985 until her retirement in 2010. She attended First Baptist Church of Florence and taught Sunday school and read her Bible daily. She enjoyed watching her flowers bloom, getting frequent visits from her hummingbirds and watching her lifetime/Hallmark/mystery/crime shows. She loved her dogs, Rosie, Coco and little man. She lived in Florence since 1984 and moved to Crystal Springs in 2015. She loved getting visits from her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Louie. She is survived by her sons, Charles David Murray, Jr. and James Keith Murray (Ashley); grandchildren, Bethany (Ben) Oglesby, Jason (Anna) Murray, Savannah Burchfield and Arrington Murray; great-grandchildren, Kerrilynn, Leni, Lydia and Daxton Oglesby; sisters, Mary Short, Kathy Aldridge and Dorothy Dempsey; brother, Jimmy Guy.
