

Sue Annette Hodgin Thayer went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2018. Sue was born in Champaign, Illinois on September 29, 1933. She lived most of her life in Indiana and moved to Clinton, MS in 1989. Mrs. Thayer will be remembered for her faithful note writing, her love of Northside Baptist Church and the library, and her love of family and friends. Her faith was important to her and sustained her throughout her life.
Sue Thayer is survived by her children: Beverly Thayer (Rick) of New York, Barbara Thayer Tullis (Ed) of New York, Charlotte Thayer Wood (Walter) of Madison, MS, and Robert Hodgin Thayer (Janice) of Ohio; six grandchildren: Robby (Stephanie), John Andrew, Mallory Thayer, Thomas (Caitie), George (Mary Quinn), and John Michael Wood; sister-in-law, Linda Thayer of Texas; nephews, Robert Fields Hodgin of Texas and Richard Howe Hodgin of Texas; grandnephews, Chad Thayer of Texas and Allan Thayer of Texas; one great granddaughter, Evelyn Thayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Chatfield Hodgin and Dorothy Howe Hodgin; her brother, USAF Major Robert Howe Hodgin; and her husband of 49 years, Robert Henry Thayer.
The family wishes to thank all of Sue's caregivers at Wisteria Gardens, Lola Edwards, and Northside Baptist Church for their prayers, kindness, care and support over the past few years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a memorial service.
