She married her first husband Basil Brown of Ebeneezer, MS in November 1957. After his death she married Alber K. Sabin III of Greenwood, MS. She was a secretary by training and worked at several different businesses, including a sewage treatment facility, so that she could afford to raise and provide for her five sons mostly on her own. She taught her sons that patience and respect for others were a fundamental part of life and that God and family come before all else. She was tough, kind, loving and wise. She will be sorely missed.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her first husband Mr. Brown and by two grandsons Aaron and Evan Brown. She is survived by five sons Matthew Brown, Thomas Carl Brown, Albert K. Sabin IV, David Sabin and Robert Sabin, and by her sister Julia Watts. She had six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home, 6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, Mississippi 39209, on August 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am, with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park next to her mother.
