She was a 1950 graduate of Central High School.
Mrs. Manning was a member of Alta Woods United Methodist Church and former member of Capital Street United Methodist Church.
She was a long-time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she served as a president of the city council.
Mrs. Manning also served on the Board of Directors of the Magnolia Speech School.
Prior to her retirement, she was a Systems Analyst for Standard Life Insurance Company and Mississippi Baptist Health Systems.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Cecile Manning; parents, William A. Hilton and Cecile Jones Hilton; and brother, William A. Hilton, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Manning; one sister, Beebe Bruckner; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
