Walter Clifton Davidson
November 30, 1956 – April 9, 2018
Mr. Walter Clifton Davidson, born on November 30, 1956, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Phyllis Clifton Davidson and the late Herbert Winfield Davidson, Sr. Walter passed away in Ridgeland, Mississippi, at age 61 on April 9, 2018. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Public Administration (Criminal Justice Systems) in 1989, continuing with graduate studies in International Relations Terrorism/Counter-terrorism. While at Hinds Junior College studying Pre-Law from 1974-1976, Walter took on the role of Prop-Manager for the Internationally Acclaimed Hinds Hi-Steppers.
Mr. Davidson grew up in the family pharmacy in West Jackson, managing the store in his teens while his parents traveled abroad. He was a proud veteran who served in the US Air Forces in Europe (LE ABGD) from 1983 to 1986, After his tour of duty, he returned to complete his university degree and become CEO of Davidson and Associates, specializing in Private Investigations & Security, Real Estate Services, and Trade Goods.
Walter was preceded in death by his older brother, Herbert Winfield Davidson, Jr.; older sister, Pamela Davidson (Jim) Smith; grandmothers, Izilla Dees Davidson and Bertha Jean Casey Clifton; grandfathers, Walter Benjamin Davidson and Jesse Laine Clifton; and nephew, Mark Corbett Ard. He is survived by his younger sister, Penne Davidson (Chuck) Ard; nieces, Shauna Davidson (Scott) Peacock, Dawn Denise Davidson (John) Martin, Nike Ard (Mike) Meyer, Fawn Marie Ard, Bridget Leigh Ard, Heather Lynne Ard, Cheryl Kaye Ard, and Julie Shea Ard; and nephews, Timothy Charles/Bo (Tiffany) Davidson, Michael Christian Davidson (Kate) Smith, Brandon Charles Ard, Anthony Vincent Ard, and Keith Wyndham Ard, in addition to many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Mr. Davidson was skilled in Shotokan Karate, an expert Marksman, and creator of the blog, "Off Grid Living," as well as a vocal Political commentator, Constitutionalist, and card-carrying member of the National Rifle Association. He volunteered and toured with the Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Choir in the 70s. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Freemasons, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Walter had a huge heart for God, Family, and Country, and will always have a place in ours. Graveside service will be held 17 April 2018 at 1:30 p.m., Parkway Cemetery, 823 S Huntington St, Kosciusko, Mississippi 39090.
