Wes Toian Burkhalter passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 47, in Pensacola, FL. A memorial service will be held at Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Ken Anderson officiating. Final farewell will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park immediately following the memorial service. Wes was born on February 4, 1969 in Jackson, MS. He went to Forest Hill High School and graduated in 1987. Wes could often be found enjoying nature where he loved canoeing, long walks and camping most of all. He had an intense love for music and a deep passion for art. He was a talented artist and had a true gift of writing. Wes had a lot of spirit, always captivated by the world around him. He was always willing to go above and beyond when it came to helping someone else. Wes loved his children and family and his life will be forever cherished by those he has left behind. Wes is preceded in death by his father, Everett Wesley Burkhalter, brother, Stephen Parker Lenoir, and his beloved grandmother, Deweyrea Hutson. Wes is survived by his son, Wes Cameron Burkhalter, San Jose, CA, and daughters, Kristen Leigh Burkhalter and Kaitlan Ashleigh Burkhalter, both of Clinton, MS. He is also survived by his mother, Catherine Hutson Burkhalter of Port Charlotte FL; brother, Jon Lenoir (Debbie), Clinton MS, brother, Lance Lenoir, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Rene’ Lenoir, Perdido Key, FL, twin sister, Chris Burkhalter, Punta Gorda FL, and beloved nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to The National Burial and Cremation Society, Parkway Baptist Church, and Lakewood Memorial Park for their kindness and support during this difficult time.
