Willa Dean Hughey

Mrs. Willa Dean Hughey, age 82, of Clinton passed away on February 5, 2015 at Clinton Healthcare in Clinton, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd in Jackson. A graveside service will follow visitation at 12:00 pm at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Willa was born in MS to the late Earl Hodges and Rosie Hill. She was a Homemaker and enjoyed cooking , gardening and taking care of her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Bay Springs, MS. Mrs. Hughey is survived by son, Kenneth (Beverly) Hughey of Clinton; daughters, Jo Turcotte (Jim) of Clinton and Kim Summerlin (David) of Pearl; brothers, Eddie Hodges and Charles Hodges; sisters, Evelyn Jackson and Sharon Couch; grandchildren, Jamie Dowd (Keith) of Clinton, Ashlie Slaton of Clinton, Katelyn Summerlin of Pearl, Michael Hughey (Jessica) of Raleigh, NC and Kevin Hughey (Rivers) of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandchildren, Kylie Dowd, Mason Slaton and Carson Dowd all of Clinton. She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Hughey; son, Stan Hughey; brothers, Ronald Hodges, Linwood Hodges and Jimmy Hodges; sister, Sue Hardy.
