William Hayden Bock Jr., better known as Wick to family and friends, went to be with his Lord and Savior after a long battle with cancer. He passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the age of 75. He was a resident of the community of Terry, MS.
Wick was born on November 22, 1942, in Wharton, TX, the son of Agnes Leggett Bock and William H. Bock, Sr. Wick is one of eleven siblings.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Annie, Betty, Mary; and brother Gene. He was a cotton farmer and a retiree from Hinds Community College.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Mathes (Ernest), son, Brian Bock (Lynn), grandchildren: Wesley Mathes, Emily Mathes, Amber Bock, Tyler Bock, Austin Bock, Rendy McMurry, and Miranda McMurry, great-grandchildren: Hayden Mathes, Raelynn Cohn, Clayton Mathes, and Haylon Mcready, brothers and sisters: Ernest, Kenneth, Garland, Lois, Ruby, and Kathy.
Wick had a God-given talent of working with wood and metal and many friends were gifted with his beautiful creations.
There will be a memorial service held Monday, September 10, 2018. Visitation will be from 10:00 am-11:00 am and service from 11:00 am-12:00 at First United Methodist Church in Clinton, MS.
