She was born on November 28, 1927 in Crockett County, TN to the late James Chester, Sr. and Lucille Jaynes Crowe. They moved to Madison County when Betty was a young girl. She attended Madison County Schools and was a 1945 graduate of North Side High School. She was a longtime member of Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church and the Memorial Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Jean Warmath; brother, James Chester “Sonny” Crowe, Jr.; and one sister, Marie Allison.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Warmath; daughter, Ann Warmath Crider (Charles); grandson, John Yancey (Beverly); and two great grandchildren, Walker and Lindsey Yancey.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 p.m., two hours prior to the service.
The family requests memorials be directed to Lambuth Memorial United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund.
