Beverly Nelson Fisher

Beverly Ann Nelson Fisher, 85, of Jackson, TN, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, surrounded by her family, following a life defined by compassion, class, and grace. She was loving, thoughtful, and kind to everyone she met.

Beverly was born on August 15, 1941, in Fulton, KY, to the late William Franklin and Nellie Sunshine Nelson. She was a 1959 graduate of Jackson High School. After graduating from West Tennessee Business College, she met Paul Fisher at the Chat ’N Chew restaurant, and they were married shortly afterward, sharing nearly 60 years together.

Beverly was an administrative assistant at Union University for many years, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, dining out, and spending time with family and friends. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, and other performances.

In 2024, Beverly moved to Wellington Manor, where she made many new friends and especially looked forward to music with Gavin on Friday afternoons.

Beverly is survived by her children, Paula Peftoulidis (George) and Jason Fisher (Gina); grandchildren, Alex Peftoulidis, Blake Peftoulidis, Gaby Fisher, and Jackson Fisher. She also leaves behind her sister, Barbara (C.W.) Wood; brother, Gary (Shirley) Nelson; niece, Kim (Richie) Gaggley; nephew, Christopher Nelson; and many beloved cousins, close friends, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her stepmother, Emma Belle Nelson; husband, Paul Fisher; and cherished cousin, Joan Vandiver.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at George A. Smith & Sons North Jackson, with a celebration of life service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Beverly’s name to the Mustard Seed in Milan.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wellington Manor for the care they provided and for giving Mom such a wonderful place to call home. We are also incredibly grateful to our Aunt Susan, Uncle Kenny, and Mom’s dear friends, Brenda and Elvis Johns, for all of the love, support, and kindness they have shown Mom and our family over the past couple of years. There are truly no words to express how much it has meant to all of us.
