Brenda Kay Torrance

Brenda was born on December 16, 1951 in Florence, AL, the daughter of the late Bennie and Lottie Ruth Earwood Hargett. She was a real estate agent for several years. After retirement, she was a loving homemaker and professional shopper.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Tim Hargett, Butch Hargett, Barbara Ann Hargett, and Baby Girl Hargett.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Torrance of Jackson; children, Chris Sherrod Hutchison (Clint) of Gadsden, Austin Torrance (Pamela), and Garrett Torrance; four grandchildren, Sidney Sherrod, Hunter Sherrod, Hayden Sherrod, and Jeremy; sister, Carol Rhodes; brother, Albert Hargett; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Bro. Chris Rigby officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
