Johnny was born on September 20, 1941 in Jackson, TN to the late Rudolph and Izola Alexander Williams. He was a minister for 50+ years and established People's Chapel Church in South Jackson and was their pastor for 32 years until his death.
Johnny was a talented musician and vocalist. He sung with The Calvary Trio for many years. He also owned and operated Williams Piano Company for over 50 years. He appreciated all friends and patrons made through the piano business, and loved all the people he met while pastoring the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceed in death by three brothers, Joe, Paul, and Dan Williams; and four sisters, Patsy Williams, Mary Moling, Dorothy Lee, and Rachel Fry.
He is survived by his wife of 55 1/2 years, Geneva Hale Williams, and although he and Geneva never had any children, he is survived by lots of nieces and nephews who he adored.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10 -11 a.m. at People's Chapel Church, 110 Grove Ave., Jackson, TN 38301. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at People's Chapel Church. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
