

He is survived by his daughter Gina Fowler Melendez and husband David of Auburndale, FL; his daughter Tanya Fowler Thomas of Milan, TN; his adopted son Kevin Fowler and wife Paula of Fairview, TN. His surviving grandchildren are Brittany Melendez, Brianna Omspacher, Garrett Fowler, Brandon Melendez, Hunter Thomas, Harrison Thomas and step-grandson Dylan Munoz and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce Henley(Jimmy) and Robbie Fowler and brother Robert Fowler all of Beech Bluff. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tricia Fowler and parents Elco and Rachel Fowler all of Beech Bluff.
Cloys graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1959. He was manager of Motor Parts and Bearing of Huntington, TN; worked in sales at Sears Roebucks selling fencing. He owned Daylight Donut Shop in Lexington, TN baking donuts, birthday cakes, wedding cakes as well as cooking breakfast and lunch. He was a real estate agent; worked as a manager at Regis Inventory. His final job was a security guard at Union University. He loved gospel singing and was a member and elder of Maple Springs Presbyterian Church in Beech Bluff, TN. He enjoyed spending time with his family, collecting pennies and squirrel hunting. Cloys will always be remembered for his personality, smile and kindness.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church with funeral services following at 12 p.m. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
