Funeral Services for Doris Denton age 69 of Humboldt, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 12, 2010 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with Bro. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens.
Ms. Denton was born on June 10, 1941 in Humboldt, TN to the late John and Ruth Mae Branch and passed away on November 9, 2010 in Humboldt.
She is survived by her husband, A. B. Denton of Humboldt; a son, Raymond Plunk Jr. of Paris, TN; four step sons, Bryon, Randy and Lynn Denton all of Humboldt and Andrew Denton of Jackson; three sisters, Jean Metzinger of Gibson, TN, Linda Johnson and Margaret Hopkins both of Humboldt; two brothers, David Branch of Bradford, TN and Bobby Branch of Humboldt; and 6 step grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Denton is preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie and Donnie Branch.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the North Chapel.
