Dorothy “Jean” Willis McKee beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on August 6, 2016 at 85 years old In Jackson, TN. Jean is from Columbus, GA. She is survived by her devoted husband of 59+ years, William H. “Bill” McKee III; a daughter Linda G. Arnett (Ken) of Memphis, TN; a son William H. “Mickey” McKee IV (Sarah) of Elkhart, IN; two grandchildren in Ft Worth, TX, Laura McKee Martin (Kris) and William H. “Quint” McKee V (Allison), and two step-great grandchildren in Tyler TX, Jacob and Jordan Martin. She is also survived by a sister Betty J. Davis and three brothers, Bill Willis, Will Willis and Larry Willis. A visitation will be in Jackson, TN on Tuesday August 9, 2016 from 5 PM – 7 PM at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at Striffler-Hamby Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL on August 11, 2016 at 2 PM with burial to follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the funeral service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
