Elizabeth pursued her education in nursing, a profession she truly loved. Caring for others was an important part of her life, and she took pride in being a nurse. Outside of her work, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, making memories with the people she loved most.
One of Elizabeth’s favorite memories was the one and only cruise she ever took. She especially loved sharing that experience with her son, Tim, and his wife, Cindy, along with her sister, Thelma. It was a special trip that she treasured. Elizabeth also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Charlie, who brought her much happiness and companionship.
Above all, Elizabeth will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends and the memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Freddy Lee Gray; her son, Thomas Dwayne Droke; her sister, Imogene McKenzie; and her brothers, Bobby Cox Sr., James Cox, Charles Cox, and J.C. Cox.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Tim Droke (Cindy); her sister, Thelma Rushing (Robert); her grandson, Chad Droke; and her great-grandchildren, Connor, Mailey, and Kyson. She will also be lovingly remembered by numerous family members and friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
