Mrs. Jaco was born October 18, 1936 in Sherman, TX to Johnnie and Myrtle Smithson. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1955; continuing her education in St. Paul, MN at Apostolic Bible Institute and graduated in 1960.
She loved people and sending cards of encouragement to those in need. She loved photographs, organizing photo albums for her family to enjoy and was the family historian. She and her husband have given their lives in many locales and churches as a pastor and minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Harold Jaco, Jr.; her mother, Myrtle Smithson; brother, Jack Smithson (wife Peggy); brother, James Smithson (wife Johnie); three children, James (Jim) Harold III (wife Kimberley), Jina (Jaco) Crain (husband Jeff) and Jeffery (wife Traci); seven grandchildren, Chesley Jaco-Moore (husband John), Justin Crain, Isabella, Victoria and Evangeline Jaco, Jay (Jeffery Young II) and Hope Jaco; one great grandchild, Peyton Moore.
Friends and family may call at The Lighthouse Church, 1435 Old Humboldt Road, Jackson, TN from 5-8 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2011.
Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 22 at The Lighthouse Church.
