Freddie Barker Tosh

She was born on July 7, 1925 in Jackson, TN to the late Enoch Roy and Mary Ella Barker. She worked in the cloth room in the Bemis Mill for 10 years. After that, she spent her life making a Christian home for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bemis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gray Tosh, Three sisters, Maefurd Rook, Thressa Travis and Yoland Evans, one brother, Odell Barker.

She is survived by three sons, Freddie "Ted" Tosh (Donna), William Gray Tosh (Debbie), Michael O. Tosh (Elaine), one daughter Leah A. Ivy (Carlos). Seven grandsons, Chad Tosh (Mollie), Matt Tosh (Jane), Myke May (Robyn), Ryan May (Monica), George Tosh (Tiffany), Kevin Tosh (Nasim), and David Tosh. One granddaughter, Tiffany Cantrell (Rob). Seven Great grandchildren, Gray and Micah Tosh, Eden May, Reid Cantrell, Alyssa and Parker May and Nathan Tosh.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tosh will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel with Bro. John Norvell and Pastor Chris Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Malesus. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 31, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
