Gail Harwell

Funeral services for Mrs. Harwell will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Harwell was born Gail Thompson on October 26, 1962 in Gary, Indiana to Wanda Copley Dillahunty and the late John William Thompson. She married Chris Harwell on August 5, 1989, they have been married 24 years. She was a floral designer with J. Kent Freeman Floral Design and Gift Co. for 12 years. Her greatest love was her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Nana."

Gail is survived by her loving husband, Chris Harwell of Jackson; daughter, Kimberly Brooke Simmons of Henderson; two sons, Casey Scott Simmons (Jessica) and Christopher Neal Simmons both of Jackon; five grandchildren, Elisabeth Grace Simmons, Allysssa Jade Huddleston, Aja Ja-nae Gailes, Annabelle Jailyn Gailes, and Kaigan Wyatt Simmons; five brothers, Michael Todd Thompson, Reed Hardy Dillahunty, Joseph Riley Dillahunty, Elvis Shane Thompson, and Hugh Monty Dillahunty.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
