Gary “Pete” Alexander

Pete was born on September 6, 1946, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Peter and Lola Coffman Alexander. In 1976, Pete founded Alexander Motors, a business he proudly owned and operated for nearly five decades. His dedication to his work, his customers, and his community left a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten. Pete’s true passions were his family, his dealership, taking trips to the beach, and grilling out with those he loved most.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Diane Alexander; and his brother, Melvin Alexander.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Alexander; his daughter, Robbie Smith (Gary); his brothers, Roy Alexander (Terry) and Richard Alexander; his grandsons, Chris Bullock (Anna) and Tyler Smith (Morgan); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Dustyn Bullock and Ella Rae Smith.

Funeral services for Pete will be held on Monday, July 7th, at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Committal will follow immediately at Highland Memorial Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee.

Pete will be remembered for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and
