Mr. Pinkerton was born on December 12, 1950 in Jackson, the son of the late George Edmond Pinkerton, Sr. and Cora Virginia Bulloch. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He volunteered to serve his country and did not wait to be drafted. He spent most of his life in California before returning to Tennessee to be closer to family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Homer Carl “Bo” Pinkerton and Mona Kay Pinkerton.
He is survived by his caregivers, Shawn Pinkerton (Misty), his nephew and wife; his sister, Ann Pinkerton Warjonen of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery with military honors rendered by the U.S. Air Force.
