Funeral services will be conducted in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mr. Pirtle was born in Bemis on June 24, 1939 to the late Ellis and Elaine Pirtle. He loved all aspects of life, and retired to be a part-time farmer and a "Poppa". Pirtle was a lifelong member of Malesus Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; a daughter, Amy Barber (Mark) of Bon Aqua, TN; a son, Jason Pirtle (Jennifer) of Jackson; a sister, Gracie Nell Patterson of Jackson and 3 grandchildren, Kelsey Pirtle, Josie Shebesh and Laynee Pirtle.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
