Mr. Harold Wayne Mainord, 88 of Jackson passed away on June 16, 2018. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at 3:00 pm in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow in East Laurel Cemetery. Bro. Bob Barnes will officiate the service. Mr. Mainord was born on May 10, 1930 to the late Alvin and Verna Smith Mainord. He served in the Army National Guard, and retired from Concrete Products after 35 years, Mr. Mainord was Baptist in faith. He was married to his wife of 51 years Lottie Mae King Mainord who preceded him in death on January 3, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his son Dennis D. Mainord who passed away on October 31, 1993; a sister, Beverly Ann Stewart, and a Brother Horace Ray Mainord. He is survived by a sister, Judy Mainord Malone (Johnny); 2 daughters Diane Gaugh (Lee), Wanda Mainord, grand-daughter Tiffany Simpson (Kenneth); two special friends, Cindy Hepner, and Rose Stovall, a host of nieces, nephews and 2 special puppy dogs Jasper and Joey. A visitation will be conducted on Wednesday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3:00pm in the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. The family would like to thank his caregivers at Forest Cove Nursing Home, as well as the Nurses and Doctors at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
