It is with great sadness that the family of Harrell Redding, Jr. announce his passing after losing the battle with Alzheimer's disease, on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the age of 77. Harrell will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dot, his children Mike (Cathy) Redding, Teresa (Tony) Rosson, Brenda Redding, and stepchildren Jimmy Anderson, Sonja (David) Burnette, and Kristen (Brent) Patrick. He will also live on in the memories of 11 beloved grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday November 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with burial to follow at Parkburg Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:00 pm until the time of the Service at 2:00 pm.
Harrell was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and he was always quick to spin a "Tall Tale" bringing joy and laughter. We will always carry beautiful memories of him in our hearts.
