Jack Albright Memorial service for Jack Albright, age 91 of Jackson, TN will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, with Dr. Phillip Jett officiating. Mr. Albright was born in Humboldt, TN on May 27, 1919 to the late Jack Albright, Sr. and Fleta White Albright. He passed away on Tuesda...y, December 14, 2010 in Humboldt, TN. Mr. Albright attended the Humboldt, TN School System and Milligan College. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Humboldt and a longtime member of Barthel Gray Men's Sunday School Class. Jack Albright was the first person to be drafted for the United States Army from Humboldt, TN at beginning of WWII. He served for four years in the Pacific Theater, serving as a First Lieutenant. At the end of WWII, he and his partner Jack Hale, founded Hale Albright Mens Clothing Store in Humboldt. A successful business for over 50 years. Mr. Albright was a Director of the Merchants State Bank, President of Humboldt Chamber of Commerce, President and founding member of the Humboldt Jaycees, a two term President at the Humboldt Golf and Country Club, and a member of the Humboldt Lions Club. He enjoyed playing golf and loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Peggy Warren Albright of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Doralyn Lowe of St. Simons Island, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Lowe and wife Monica, and Jacquelin Lowe McCoy of Gibson, TN; great-grandchildren, Jack and Alex Lowe, and Presley and Austin McCoy. Presley and Austin always called their precious grandfather JackiBoy. Jack also leaves a number of cousins who will grieve his passing.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the North Chapel. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, (731) 427-5555.See More
