
He was born Dec. 16, 1933and grew up in Birmingham, AL the son of the late Dr. James Alfred and Annie Cleo Noe Bagley.
Mr. Bagley graduated from the University of Alabama and was a life long Alabama fan. He moved to Jackson, TN with the Southern Weighing & Inspection Bureau associated with the railroad industry and retired after 28 years there.
Among his varied interests, he was a 32nd degree Mason, past president of Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity, the American Red Cross and was involved in their services nationwide, including NYC during 9-11. He was given a life time membership to their board of directors. Mr. Bagley served on the board of West Tennessee Disaster Services, and was past president of the Hub City Toastmasters international Club. He served 32 years in the United States Armed Forces including 20 years in the National Guard. Before his activities were limited, Mr. Bagley was employed at the Rainey, Kizer, Reviere and Bell on the administrative staff. He served at St. Lukes Episcopal Church as a chalice bearer and as an acolyte master for 30 years before joining All Saints Anglican Church of which he was a founding member.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Caroline Burgess Bagley, a son Jeb and (Cheryl) of Memphis, three daughters, Beth Bagley Moore and (Brandon), Kim Bagley Benjamin and Sherri Bagley Tyus and (Robbie) of Birmingham, AL. He leaves seven grandchildren; Erica and Bryce Bagley, Anna Caroline and Miles Moore, Zack Benjamin, Katie and Shelli Hart. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Hart.
