James Terry Henry

Terry was born on November 24, 1943 in McNairy County, TN to the late Erby and Eunice Lamar Stout Henry. He was a 1961 graduate of Jackson High School and attended Lambuth University. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid sports fan. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. He was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Henry Taylor and a grandson, Benjamin Clayton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Allen Henry; daughter, Betsy Henry Clayton (James) of Cleveland, TN; son, Brian Henry of Jackson, TN and four grandsons, Blake, Nick, Luke, and Jacob Clayton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at 3 p.m., at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
