Jane Fee Wolfe

December 7, 1937May 24, 2020

Jane Fee Wolfe, age 82, passed away at Northbrooke Nursing Home on Sunday, May 24, after a long-term battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born December 7, 1937, in Little Rock, AR, Mrs. Wolfe was the daughter of Edward and Geraldine Miller Fee. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in English from the University of Arkansas before marrying Dr. Wayne Wolfe of Little Rock, AR. After moving to Jackson, Mrs. Wolfe committed her life to her family and to community service. Serving as executive director for a number of non-profit organizations, she sought to champion the underdog. Mrs. Wolfe was instrumental in founding and supporting the Parkinson’s Support Group of West Tennessee, EACH (Education Advocates for Children with Handicaps), as well as Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Confederacy.

Mrs. Wolfe lived a full life. She was an accomplished ballerina in her early years, an avid reader, a seeker of wit and wisdom (along with an occasional margarita). She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, dear friend, and a faithful member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Jackson.

Mrs. Wolfe is survived by one brother, Edward Fee of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Allison Malsack of Jackson; a son, Wesley Wolfe of Jackson; and a grandson, Robert Neal of Nashville.

Due to Jane’s avid missions during her lifetime, the family suggests any memorials be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation that exists to “Eliminate Parkinson’s Disease in Our Lifetime.”

Visitation with family will be held Sunday, May 31, at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel from 12:30—1:30 P.M. Interment is to follow with a graveside service at Ridgecrest Cemetery at 2:00. Rev. Deacon Tommy Rhoads will officiate the service.
