John Walter Pearson Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Pearson will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 1 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow with military honors in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers to serve will be Windell Allen, Richard Huggins, L.C. Glover, Tony Rushing, Roger Havner and Nolen Webster.

John was the son of the late John Walter Pearson, Sr. and Louis Holyfield Pearson.

He served his country in the Army in the Vietnam War. He was retired from Sara Lee Baking Company, where he worked for 32 years.

His survivors include his wife of 28 years, Billie Christine Pearson; two sons, John Walter Pearson III (Cathy) and Shane Pearson (Brooke); one daughter, Nicky Rhodes (Joey) of Henderson, TN; three sisters, Janis Cupples, Janet Smith (William), and Sandra Pearson, all of Jackson; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two very loved dogs.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday evening, beginning at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., in the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
