

Johnnye Sue "Nancy" Langford (née Philyaw) passed away surrounded by family on June 29, 2026, at the age of 69 in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on July 11, 1956, in West Memphis, Arkansas, she was a nurturing presence, cherished for her deep Christian faith and lifelong dedication to her family and friends.
A loving mother and grandmother, Nancy is survived by her children, Michael McKewen, Laura Webb, Daniel Langford, and Wesley Langford; her daughters-in-law, Marissa McKewen and Lindsey Langford; her son-in-law, Perry Webb; and her grandchildren, Colton Lambert, Landon Langford, Rhylyn Webb, and Anniston Webb. She is also survived by her brothers, George Philyaw and John David Philyaw; her sisters, Ann Bertot, Hettie Lane, and Deanna Copeland; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who became family through love.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, John David and Wanda Virginia Philyaw; her husbands, Kenneth McKewen and Charles Langford; and her siblings, Dennis Philyaw, Linda Philyaw, and Sherrell Lott.
Beyond her family life, Nancy was an avid artist who enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, and caring deeply for others, always ensuring those around her felt loved and supported. Her home was a welcoming space filled with laughter, games, and joy.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming months, with details to be shared as they are finalized. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude, honoring Nancy’s compassionate spirit and love for helping others.
