Kay graduated from Beech Bluff High School with the Class of 1957 and later graduated from West Tennessee Business College. She married her beloved husband, Joe M. Duck, of Henderson, Tennessee, and together they made their home in Henderson for many years before eventually moving to Jackson.
Kay worked in real estate before retiring from Regions Bank. She was a longtime member of Englewood Baptist Church and was a woman of strong faith who valued her church and community.
Kay enjoyed needlepointing and traveling with family and friends. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she treasured every opportunity to be together with those she loved.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; her daughter, Suzanne Wilson; and her sister, Ann Johnston.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Duck (Alicia) of Jackson, Tennessee; grandchildren, Kyle Duck (Lydia) of Amsterdam, Netherlands, Lauren Hull (Josie) of Fremont, California, Russ Duck (Laura) of Jackson, Tennessee, and Rebekah Williams of Collierville, Tennessee; and her sister, Mary Janette Wood of Jackson, Tennessee.
She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren, Max, William, and Evie Duck of Amsterdam, Netherlands; Isaac and Levi Duck of Jackson, Tennessee; and John Patton and George Williams of Collierville, Tennessee; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 11th at George A. Smith and Sons Funeral Home - North Chapel. The funeral service and committal will follow at Middlefork Road Church Cemetery in Luray, Tennessee at 2:00 p.m. the same
Kay will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart, love of family, and the many special memories she created throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
