She was the thirteenth of fourteen children born to Joe and Mary Burks, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Wilhite, Ruby Ward, Larry Burks, Bill Burks, Roy Burks, Troy Burks, Gordon Burks, and Tom Burks.
She excitedly married her one true love, Danny Lloyd, on January 29, 1971. Together they brought into this world and lovingly raised two daughters, Danica Len Lloyd of Dresden ad Courtney Burks Williams (Pat) of Dresden. She was also additionally blessed with two other "children," Jennifer Bradshaw and the one who she considered the laughter to her soul, Jason Bradshaw. Filled with pride and joy she was often heard saying "Have I told you about my Noah?" as she became Nana to her first grandchild, Noah Travis Henley (Hero). Blessed with the other piece to complete her life as Nana, Hannah Lakin-Grace Williams (Girlfriend) followed soon after. Being blessed with the son she always wanted, her son-in-law, Pat Williams, she also gained another grandchild, Cody Williams.
She will be missed by so many including her brother, Hal Burks (MaryAnn); sisters, Johnnie Lockwood, Joyce Whitman, JoAnn Baker, and Ninette McBride. A multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched in the sweetest way.
Family was everything to her. She loved family reunions and long visits with those she loved. Shopping, chocolate, Christmas, babies, and her relationship with the Lord were some of her most favorite things. Len was a member of Jolley Springs Baptist Church. Being a mama, wife, Nana, and raising her family to love the Lord was her greatest accomplishment and legacy she leaves behind.
